Our institution was created in 1979 by the maestro Juan Blanco with the aim of helping support the creation of electroacoustic music by Cuban composers, promote the said works in Cuba and abroad. The National Laboratory of Electroacoustic Music (LNME) is part of the National Centre for Concert Music and of the Cuban Institute of Music, and heads the CIME/UNESCO Cuban Federation of Electroacoustic Music. It organizes the International Festival “Primavera en La Habana” and offers Concert Seasons. In the recording studio, services of recording, editing, mixing and mastering of musical productions are offered.

Our Website has the purpose of informing you on our Institution’s history, our present work, and about the life and work of musicians and sound artists related to LNME, as well as on events and concerts organized by our Laboratory.
